Golden Hummus

Using: BOOSTING AMBERS 
For:   IMMUNE HEALTH

Chickpeas are an excellent source of soluble fibre and plant-based protein. They also contain zinc and copper, which are key minerals to support the functioning of immune cells. BOOSTING AMBERS along with chickpeas and healthy fats in the extra virgin olive oil are a winning combination for immune system health. Let’s brighten up the classic hummus and give your body a boost!

Recipe Serves: 1 bowl of hummus, approx. for 6 people


INGREDIENTS

  • BOTANISTRY BOOSTING AMBERS, 2 teaspoons
  • Chick peas, 1 can
  • Tahini, 3 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice, 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic, 2 cloves
  • Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon

METHOD

  1. Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas.
  2. Blend the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and garlic in a food processor until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add the BOOSTING AMBERS, salt and olive oil and blend further, taste and season.
  4. Transfer into a dish and serve with pita chips or vegetable sticks.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • If using dry chickpeas, soak overnight, then drain and boil with fresh water for an hour. The texture should be soft enough to squish with your fingers.
